Where innovation gets down to business.

IDEA Camp

Do you have an innovative medical device, life sciences, bio-technology or venture in the early stages of development? Would you like to work with industry experts and coaches to create a winning pitch and value proposition for your business concept?

Then apply to participate in the Tampa Bay Innovation Center’s 2012 IDEA Camp on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. This collaborative event will help inventors, entrepreneurs and small businesses refine their “60 second elevator pitch” and effectively communicate their venture’s competitive attributes.

Participants should expect to leave IDEA Camp with:

  • A refined business model that effectively communicates venture’s attributes
  • Credibility for their product or idea through peer vetting
  • Confidence to deliver an effective value proposition
  • Solidified ideas to share with investors
  • New ideas or improvements from real-time feedback
  • Momentum to move forward with a “next step” plan for their idea
  • A refined 60 second pitch delivered to experts, industry associations, economic development and education partners, service providers, and funders
  • New contacts and resources to move their idea forward

Only 12 medical concepts will be accepted for IDEA Camp.  If selected, the fee to participate is $99.  The application deadline was Friday, February 24, 2012.  We are currently reviewing and will notify applicants shortly.
